A mean-spirited and myopic performance

Whether we call it Brokenhagen or Hopenhagen, the climate conference has been a disappointment at best. The split between rich and poor countries, the developing and the over-developed world was to be expected. What is shocking to me, as a Canadian, is the pitiable performance by our representatives. We had a chance to recoup our reputation as a country with a sense of responsibility and vision. Instead, we showed ourselves to be myopic and mean spirited.
